How To Read Tarot Cards-The Pictures

How to read tarot cards-The Pictures

One of the easiest ways to learn how read tarot cards is by visuals. Some visuals and pictures will tell you all you need to know about a subject matter.

Again, the Rider Waite Tarots are the best for accuracy in regards to the actual meanings of the tarot cards themselves.

An example is the tarot, the "3 Of Swords". In this card there are three swords piercing a heart and rain pouring down fromclouds. You can interpret this as loss and deep sorrow. This is visually obvious and this makes this tarot card easy to remember.

Learning how to read tarot cards does take time and practice but with this method of visualizing what the actual picture is displaying will make the reading of tarot cards easier.

How To Read Tarot Cards-The meaning of Cards

The Meaning Of Tarot Cards

There are many books that explain how to read tarot cards but in my opinion, one of the very best and most personal ways to develop meanings for the cards is to study the cards themselves.

Tarot cards were developed with pictures and symbols that represent the concepts being expressed.

An example is the Waite-Rider deck, the "Four of Swords" is showing a man lying on a bier, on which is pictured a horizontal sword. The meaning of the card is "to bury the hatchet" or let past conflicts come to resolution.

The man is literally resting on top of the sword (a sword is a fire element, and referers to fighting or conflicts). He is resting on old issues and allowing them to come to rest.

It is truely fasinating learning the meanings of all the cards and how to read the tarot.

To learn more about how to read tarot cards and their meanings, I sincerely recommend this book. It will shorten your learning curve immensely.

How To Read Tarot Cards-Choosing a Deck

If you are just starting to learn how to read tarot cards or haven't worked with tarot cards before, I suggest you start with the Waite-Rider tarot deck, considered the easiest deck to work with for the beginner learning to read tarot cards.

The people who created the modern tarot deck, all of whom were members of the Order of the Golden Dawn, designed the Waite-Rider, Thoth deck and Morgan-Greer deck.

Arthur E. Waite created the Waite-Rider deck. Rider was the name of the publisher and Pamela Smith, also of the Order of the Golden Dawn, did all the artwork for the tarot cards.

These decks can be used for magical purposes. For example, the Aquarian deck is a beautiful tool for divination if you are used to working with Zen or Hindu conceptions, but they won't work for any spell work and have no relationship to the Tree of Life.

This book I've found and highly recommend will explain, in simple terms what is needed for the beginner learning how to read tarot cards.
